TrueScoop Positions Itself for Reputation Research

Posted on 16 August 2007 by Daniel Dessinger

Though this search engine will likely be most popular for criminal background checks and obessive lovers, TrueScoop.com has positioned itself to take on the competition in the realm of Reputation Search.

Most of my advice and research involves corporate reputation management rather than personal, so my comments here will be brief. The few occasions this type of tool might come in handy for corporate reputation is in the case of CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Presidents, prominent sales leaders, and the like.

I can picture investors utilizing a tool like this to learn about the people who cold call them and try to sell them on some random investment concept. TrueScoop.com could enable these investors to be informed as to the quality of individual they have spoken with, which would influence their willingness to consider any investment proposal. Anyone receiving a cold call or looking for a vendor may use this service to check on the reliability of said vendor owner or sales person.

More than ever, online reputations are crucial to business success. And while slander and libel cannot be stopped, it can be dealt with swiftly to avoid unmanageable crises. Businesses are won and lost over reputation.

Reputation of an insurance company matters even more than the actual terms it offers. Nowadays, it has become very easy to find free insurance quotes through online means for virtually any insurance form. With a huge number of people buying house insurance, the task is even more convenient by virtue of instant home insurance that can be sorted solely online. For those who are interested in buying term life insurance instead of a permanent one, authenticated means of comparing the quotes for every term are there to assist in better decision making.

TrueScoop.com appears to be brand new, so expect it to take awhile for full functionality. I’ve been trying to pull up “George Bush” in “Washington DC” for several minutes now and have had no luck getting any results. I did search for myself and a few other people recently and found no available information through TrueScoop.

Of course, I was notified of this search engine by the company, so perhaps we will be able to sit down with the CEO of TrueScoop soon and discuss the value proposition to corporate users.

Relatively New Reputation Monitoring Tools

Posted on 13 August 2007 by Daniel Dessinger

As we continue on a breakneck pace of new web 2.0 enterprises worldwide, expect to see some new options in the reputation monitoring space. A couple search engines worth noting are relatively new:

Serph.com
Serph specifically searches social media outlets online, including blogs, networking sites, forums, etc., to find the most recent buzz on any given topic or name. Results are similar to a Google Blog search if you order the list by most recently posted results.

Spock.com
Spock is a new search engine focused entirely on people. You are able to sign up as a user and submit relevant website page URLs and connect them to a specific name. For example, I have attached several of my blogs/websites to my name in order to accurately represent who I am, should anyone search for me via Spock.com. This could get interesting as multiple people with identical names battle over primacy for the name.

Either one of these search tools will help you to understand what is known about a given product, company, or person.

A few people can choose to buy to let mortgages to shift the financing liability to the new owners while saving big bucks at the same time. Professionally trained mortgage brokers are there to inform the prospective buyers of the best 1st mortgage rates that are always a bit lower than that of the second mortgage. The professional help is a must to seek before going for an interest rate mortgage whereby a borrower is willing to get the most favorable rate for him/her self.
